Mother's Day began on Friday with a sweet little tea at Blake's preschool. She sang the cutest songs, and we sat in the warm sun and enjoyed our afternoon together.
She is my adventurer indeed. Her Mother's Day Card included appreciation for all the places I take her, like Yosemite & Mount Laguna. Her company is engaging, quizzical and layered with detail.

Brookie is our family stylist. She uses the term "stylish" almost daily & refuses to wear anything that is remotely "boyish". I'll never forget the day she looked at me using blue dish washing gloves and remarked, "mom, do those match your outfit?"

On Mother's Day morning, Robbie brought me breakfast on the couch (my favorite).
Okay it wasn't halibut, but a heavenly egg & avocado quesadilla. We ate the halibut a month ago. He's such a sweetie and takes good care of me (extra good care when conditions are good for spearfishing).

Later on my mom & dad came down for church and then off to lunch. It's always challenging for me to "pick" the restaurant. My parents are serious connoisseurs. We never eat a meal without them both trying to figure out the ingredients and giving their rating. Fortunately the Banana Leaf in Hillcrest has incredibly savoury food. The service, not so savoury.
My mom is always rather stoic in photos. I had to tell her to imagine that my dad was a China Man (which he is) trying to kidnap her from Korea. There's the smile.

Wow, guess that's a long enough post. Hoping you had a wonderful weekend & Mother's Day too.
